FieldOps Support

FieldOps is an on-device field camera, GPS track recorder, waypoint manager and mapping tool for iPhone and iPad.

Permissions

Allow Location for coordinates, maps, waypoints and tracks; Camera for photographs; Motion for headings and angles; and Photos Add access when saving a photograph. Background location is used only while an active track is being recorded.

Coordinate systems and DXF

FieldOps supports WGS 84, GDA2020, GDA94, AGD84 and AGD66 in geographic or projected UTM, MGA and AMG coordinates, including EPSG:20355 — AGD84 / AMG zone 55. When importing an ASCII DXF, choose the drawing's source datum, coordinate type, axis order or grid zone, hemisphere and units. LINE, LWPOLYLINE, POLYLINE/VERTEX, POINT, CIRCLE and ARC geometry are supported. Binary DXF files are not supported.

Measurement accuracy

GPS, compass and motion readings are limited by the device, satellite visibility and magnetic interference. Use calibrated survey equipment for certified survey work, legal boundaries or safety-critical measurements.

Privacy

Field records are stored on your device and are not collected by the developer. The full privacy policy is available from the App Store listing and inside the app under Settings.
